StreetLevel IV:
A Legacy of Justice (2009)

Thinkhouse Design was approached to explore the creative direction for the StreetLevel Conference in 2009, the theme of which is “A Legacy of Justice”.

A Legacy grows, like a tree, over time and will benefit those who never took part in its original planting. Its seed is taken from another tree, the fruit of someone else’s legacy. Justice flourishes when it is firmly rooted in a healthy place, growing and spreading out to provide relief and comfort, both visibly and invisibly.

We developed the visual identity, invitations, mailers, collateral and promotional materials, T-shirt, website, and program for the event.

StreetLevel III:
Truthtellers and Peacemakers (2006)

Thinkhouse contributed to the success of this national conference on poverty and homelessness with a solution that effectively addressed multiple audiences and languages, political issues, budget limitations, and an over-riding need for sensitivity and professionalism.

We developed the visual identity, invitations, mailers, collateral and promotional materials, an email compaign, a T-shirt for the delegate bags, a website, and a unique program book for the event.

The graphics for all of the conference materials were based on waste billboard materials from scrap transit ads. All of the covers and divider pages were cut from these scraps, and all of the paper was sourced from end-of-line and discontinued stock, giving each book an entirely unique look. Even an unwanted piece of paper has been given a second chance.
